Villa Manis

Rudi and Tatto were nice and friendly. Made us feel very welcome. Mini bar in fridge. Villa was nice and spacious.

Hot water didn’t last long. villa is set in a dark muddy lane. Rooster went off early hours of the morning but the villa can’t help that.

The pool, lounge and dining area are lovely and spacious, lots of comfortable seating area. The staff were always on hand to help with anything and just across the road is a small shop and laundry run by very friendly and helpful people. Away from the noisy area, amongst the locals, chickens, goats and ducks. If you don't like the early morning rooster calls bring earplugs :)

The kitchen and bathrooms could do with some upgrading. The beds are quite hard.

The host was very responsive, allowed early check-in, and was at the property when we arrived. The place was well cleaned and set up to welcome guests.

The a/c in the main bedroom needs service. Every night, it took up to an hour to get it working by switching it off and on. The main bathroom's toilet drain also needs to be looked at. It blocks after a couple of people take a shower and the stench of the gutter reverses back into the toilet. The swimming pool water should be filtered and the pool repaired. There are plenty of broken tiles and the water was dirty - not from the leaves and other stuff from the tree above but the actual water was dirty.

The villa is beautiful! Rustic feel with great outdoor space for sitting, eating and relaxing. The property is away from the busy part of town, so less noise from the bars and crowds. As a family we appreciated this. Gayuh, the house manager was very helpful and responsive.

Water pressure is weak and shower head could do with replacing. A lot of the issues the villa faces with water pressure, bugs, noise and electricity is no fault of their own. Just Gili T life. Perhaps the villa could include fans in both the bedrooms as the aircon was weak.
