Tupac Huaraz

Everything was clean and new, nothing felt grotty and dirty like some hostels. Room was spacious and comfortable and outside space was very relaxing. Staff were friendly and accommodated our vegan diet for breakfast.

Wi-Fi was quite poor, which was surprising as there was a router right outside our room. Animal noise from next door was loud but not much they can do about that.

The only good things I saw here were the shower pressure and it was clean.

I had booked for an early arrival and late check out, and was informed prior to arrival of what the extra charge would entail. The lady at the front desk overcharged for the stay, saying something about an "online booking fee" which somehow was the same price as the late checkout fee. She insisted even when I tried to point it out. For a room of 4, had to keep asking for tissue and would get tissue rolls that were more than half used and would barely last all of us a few hours. Other things as well, but overall would avoid and stay elsewhere if in town again.

it is situated pretty close to the city with east access to plaza de armas.

lots of hidden prices - much more expensive than advertised on booking.com I had to rent my own towel the ‘included breakfast’ was appalling. they didn’t even have milk for the coffee and it was one woman who served me bread and warm pineapple juice (who didn’t even serve me for 20 minutes)

Great facilities, extremely helpful staff, overall comfortable stay.

There’s no wifi in the room, and the common area wifi is very intermittent

Although it wasn't far from the busiest parts of the city It felt like I was within range of nature, what with birds singing when waking up and the fresh and clean air. The staff was nice and helpful, I totally recommend the place.
