Escala Rooms

Cosy and exactly what we needed for a one night stay! The staff was very helpful and friendly! The inside looks very cool!

The room was comftable and the furniture is new.

The sound of the cars from outside, the location is near the road. Don't have AC. The shower is not closed, the bathroom was very dirty after a shower, a lot of water on the floor.

Easy access based on security code. The beds seemed comfortable to me (the mattresses are firmer, other people may not appreciate them). New furniture, clean room.

The area where the hotel is located is heavily trafficked, especially by trucks, even at late hours. The room on the ground floor does not have an air conditioner so I opened the window. After 10 minutes I closed it because of the noise and dust.

- modern, beautiful, spacious and clean rooms with nice furniture and TV (we bookesld 4 rooms and they all looked very good); - there were two complimentary bottles of water in each room; - good heating in all rooms (except the first room near the entrance which has more walls outside and it does not warm up as much as the others, despite the radiator being burning hot); - the lobby is also modern and looks very nice, we enjoyed looking at the beautiful postcards and photo albums provided in the lobby; - daily cleaning of the shared space; we stayed for 2 nights and after the first night we were asked if we need anything or if we need the garbage from the rooms to be removed; - convenient self check in, each room can be opened by typing a code in the system attached to the doorhandle. The code for the room and the main entrance is provided the day before the arrival.

- despite being a villa with nice interiors, it is difficult to have a good rest because of the location near a main road. The walls/windows do not isolate the noise well and you can hear the trucks and cars passing all night by the window, even with window closed. We stayed here in winter but I imagine it is not possible to sleep during summer with windows open (no AC in the rooms we had); - not necessarily the host's fault, but in the upstairs rooms there were families with children that have literally jumped continously for many hours during the night&morning and we could hear all the loud stumps, it was not possible to rest -> perhaps consider booking a room upstairs if you are afraid of a similar experience ( we talked to the parents but it did not help, they left the children unsupervised); - the bathrooms are spacious, clean and modern but the shower cabins are open and the floor gets wet no matter how careful you are, a shower curtain could help; - no hairdryer in the bathrooms, luckily i brought my own; - the beds are quite comfortable, but some of the pillows could use an improvement, they are too big or hard.

The self check-in option is convenient, as it allows you to arrive at any time. We received the relevant access info ahead of time. The property is fairly new so the furniture was in a very good state.

Providing slippers or adding some carpets would be nice, considering that the (ground) floor was very cold and not entirely clean. The cleaning person had left the bathroon window and the door to the bathroom open, so it was freezing cold when we arrived late at night. There was only one hairdryer available in the reception to be shared by all guests - not very convenient when you're in a rush or when you do 't want to run into somebody else in the reception. The bed mattresses are ok but the pillows could use an upgrade to a better quality version.
