Great place! The staff is lovely, and super sociable. The house is very beautiful, and the room is cosy. Not too many guests, so it feels nice. I had good fun with the staff and the locals in the evening, and at breakfast time.

The location was perfect and the traditional house super neat to stay in. It was only a short walk to reach the street full of interesting shops and food, and maybe 15-20 minutes from there to reach the station. Staff were amazing to talk to and very helpful.

I love a good kitchen, and this place only had a small counter and fridge. Though it makes up for it with the small common room attached to the bar/cafe, since the open space made everything feel very lively.

A welcoming, friendly place, with lots of character, fun conversations, comfortable sleeping quarters, and tasty food too, set in a beautiful old building. Felt truly homely, somewhere I’d gladly return.

The host was super friendly, always happy to chat and answer questions about history and tradition and helped me find my way around Kawagoe, showed me all the must see spots, bars and restaurants. There’s also a little garden in the back and the bar area seems to be the local hang out spot in the evening which is super cool.

The staff were so helpful arranging for my bass to be forwarded to my next hotel and kind and amazing and I really loved that bowl of bean curry I had for lunch
