Colombo Orchid Villa

Had a really nice stay at Colombo Orchid Villa. The place was calm, super clean and very neat. Honestly felt just like home. Sudassie and her husband were both very kind and welcoming and their hospitality made the stay even better. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay in Colombo

I was in Sri Lanka on a personal matter and stayed at the Colombo Orchid Villa, which catered to all my expectations. The hosts were magnificent and always checked in to see how I was doing and whether my requirements had been met. Even if you want to travel to Colombo, which is 6-7km away, I recommend this place as it is cost-effective. You find good food and shopping if you walk along the Pannipitiya Road, the same shops that you will see at One Galle Face, which is supposed to be Sri Lanka's premier shopping precinct.

There is nothing that I didn't like. Everything was to my satisfaction.

The family who owns the house is very nice. The location is ok, a 15-20 minutes tuk-tuk ride from the tourists spot. There are also restaurants near the house. It was clean. The room is tiny, but is enough for one person.

The room is situated inside the house where the family leaves, near the kitchen, so it can be noisy in the morning, walking you up, starting 6.30 AM, when they prepare breakfast or go to work. Also the is a very strong smell in the room, something like naphthalene, witch can be disturbing at night, making it hard to breathe.

The villa was very clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The interiors felt modern yet cozy, with a beautiful high ceiling and well-equipped kitchen. The location was peaceful and convenient, and the host was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

Honestly, nothing major to complain about. Everything was comfortable and enjoyable.

It is center of the city and it was so convenient for myself. The parliament ground is located very close to the facility and if you are a runner, this would be an ideal location to have a nice run during your stay. And the owner was so nice and friendly. He offered me a fresh juice also after my evening runs.
