Olas Tulum

Located at the end of the beautiful beach away from the busy beach clubs, therefore a very peaceful and down-to-earth vibe which is a real gem in Tulum. Many good restaurants to walk to along the beach within 30 minutes. You will be welcomed warmly as if it's your own home to enjoy. The rooftop terrace is a magical place to start your day with a yoga practice, and end the night stargazing. The bed was so comfortable, and is the perfect place to enjoy the sounds of the waves and a perfect view of the pink sunrise every morning

Recommend stocking up on groceries/snacks in Tulum town before heading to the property, as there's not many shops nearby once you arrive and taxies to town can get expensive (~45 usd one way). Rooms are equipped with a kitchen which makes preparing food very convenient.

Peaceful ,beautiful garden,quiet beachfront !warm,friendly staff made you feel at home ,great breakfast and very comfortable room .It was a small ,intimate setting away from the busy street scene .We are looking forward to our return !

One of my favorite stays in Tulum! It’s far enough away from everything to really enjoy the beach and nature and yet still close enough to all the action! The hospitality was beyond and everyone we met at the resort was just lovely. Can’t wait to be back for another visit!

Had a wonderful 4 days at Olas. Tulum has blown up over the years since I first visited but this place maintains itself as an oasis away from it all that really tries to be as sustainable as possible. We were really able to disconnect and enjoy the well kept property and beach and enjoy nature. I have not slept better in a year. Breakfast daily was always good and healthy . Terrific staff, Mara, Leo , Zenaida and Victor thank you . If you need to recharge away from the hustle of Tulum look no further.

Olas Tulum is a magical place where time ceases to exist. It's small and intimate, and Jimmy and his crew were so helpful in making recommendations, reservations, and whatever else you might need. I especially liked that it was away from the hustle of beach center, and you didn't hear any noise. Besides being right on the beach and being lulled to sleep by the waves, I can't imagine any place more perfect.

Olas Tulum, formerly Casa de Las Olas as I know it has been a home away from home for nearly a decade. With all of the changes in the region Olas has maintained its secluded charm, sustainability, beautiful location, gorgeous rooms and most importantly the sense of being at home. Olas is always manned by an on-site host who helps navigate travelers throughout authentic eateries, natural treasures and the richness of the area. Guests are warmly greeted upon arrival and each morning gather around the table underneath the palms for hot French press coffee, fresh squeezed juice, homemade granola, yogurt and a Mexican dish to kick start the day. You can truly unwind here, lay low on the property with fresh coconuts, food and drinks or you can be guided to the wonders of the region whether nearby ruins, the magical timelessness of the Sian Kiaan bioreserve which Olas borders and so much more. Don't hesitate to ask questions while you're at your home away from home on a sustainable property - powered by the sun, wind and love for taking care of guests. If you've never been - go. Olas Tulum is a gem on the end of the Beach Road. The hospitality shown by the owner and staff are unparalleled, you instantly feel like you're part of the family, and you are! The rooms are clean, the showers have excellent pressure, the bed is comfortable, and the grounds are beyond what words can describe. Incredibly lush, beautifully serene, completely relaxing, the only sounds you hear are the waves crashing on the beach mere steps away from the communal table where guests enjoy freshly made meals that are local and delicious. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway in Tulum, this should be your first and last stop.

My husband and I stayed here for five days recently and had a wonderful time. We were looking to stay somewhere that was both quiet and relaxing - and a good location for going on adventures nearby. Olas Tulum was perfect for us. The man running the hotel was friendly and well-connected to the local community. He gave us amazing tips for local restaurants and tours! Seriously, every restaurant he pointed us to was fantastic. When we had a small issue with the shower in our room, he took it seriously and fixed the problem immediately. This was mentioned in the welcome package we were sent a few weeks before arriving, but one thing to be aware of this is that hotel is at the end of the busy and narrow resort road. If you are planning to go on adventures or eat at restaurants off the resort road (which I'd recommend), you should consider renting a car.
