We had a truly wonderful experience staying at Maria's cosy place in Breb. The location is absolutely beautiful—nestled in nature, with traditional wooden houses and quiet surroundings that instantly help you unwind. The room was spotless, cozy, and decorated with authentic Maramureș elements, which made it feel special and rooted in the local culture. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept deeply every night. What made this stay unforgettable was the hospitality of the hosts. Maria is incredibly warm, helpful, and passionate about their region. I especially enjoyed the peaceful garden, the mountain views, and the proximity to hiking trails and wooden churches. It’s a perfect place to disconnect, recharge, and experience rural Romania at its best. Would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, authentic, and heartwarming stay in Maramureș!

It's extremely cute and cosy and relaxing. The best place I've ever been to disconnect. The barn is lovely, and the village is charming.

I very rarely leave reviews but I had to take a moment to share that you should absolutely book this place with confidence. The host is wonderful, the space is amazing, inside and outside, clean, lovely, comfortable beds. Plus the cutest cats and dogs to greet you. Good vibes. We had good weather at the end of August that wasn’t too hot. Bring your own shampoo and toiletries. Kitchen has everything you need for a visit. My friend and I absolutely loved our stay here. We can’t wait to come back and bring family and friends.

Lovely house looking exactly like the pictures, with a "vintage barn" decoration. It is very nice to eat outside in the garden and enjoy the countryside view. The bedroom is big and it is very nice to cook in the kitchen overlooking the garden. Be sure that you enter the Google location given by Booking because the place is not very easy to find, that is the price for remoteness!

A little more indications as to the arrival would be helpful (keys on the house door but no one to greet us, the host is responsive by message but not present on site, we did not see much of the ladies who live next door though the people we saw were very nice and helpful). The house was a little dusty and a few things remained uncleaned (kitchen towel and empty glasses), maybe cleaning was done a little hastily because of the festival the previous w-e. Finally what is not clear in the add is that the full house is not for you, the smaller half of it is another accommodation. So you can have close neighbours while you stay, and you can hear the noise from the adjacent bedroom (baby crying for us). That with the heavy barking of dogs at night in the village (we slept with windows open because it was quitte hot) makes it less calm than expected. But overall the place is very nice for nature lovers and the outside area (big garden) is really a plus.

Every tiny thing in this place was magical for us. We felt just like taking steps in to fairy tail.... We could feel the hand of an artist in every detail in the house. We would be really happy to come back again

Wonderful place, unique setting and a very genuine feeling to everything. The equipment inside the barn apartment provides all necessities for a homely experience but is tastefully integrated in the classic setting. The host was superbly understanding and supportive despite is being far from the ideal guests. We hope to see her again!
