"Lovely quiet hotel near all you need in the center of Chiang Mai Old city. Much better to be here than out of town"

10.0

This is a very stylish hotel with a beautiful calm feel in the old city of Chiang Mai. Lovely rooms and excellent noodles for breakfast ! Calm courtyard and swimming pool. The staff are all very friendly including the janitor/gardener who is a permanent presence and always ready to help. Within a short walking distance of excellent morning food market, excellent night market and Carrot coffee shop. Direct booking should get a good rate especially off season.

"Stylish Hidden Gem in Chiang Mai "

10.0

Recently stayed at the Villa Klang Wiang with friends. The ambiance upon entry made each of us feel immediately relaxed and we realized our holiday had finally begun! It felt like we had entered someone’s beautifully decorated home. We had four rooms on the second floor and each room was nicely decorated. The use of antiques and local textiles makes each room unique. The rooms are large with great balconies to relax and watch the sunset. Bathrooms were well appointed and super clean. The pool sits to the side of the property. It was cold due to cooler temperatures in the evening, but the children still swam and the adults enjoyed cocktails sitting in the comfy poolside chairs. Please note that the hotel does not offer food/beverage service but you are welcome to bring in your own. Hotel is in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the Sunday night market, lots of restaurants/bars, and foot massage places. Breakfast is included and starts from 7:30 am and ends at 10:00 am. There is a choice of Asian and Western. Many options, we did not go hungry at breakfast! The charming dining room is outfitted with antiques and was a comfortable place to gather every morning. We enjoyed our leisurely breakfast and numerous cups of delicious coffee! The hotel provided free transportation from the airport and to the bus station. Highly recommend the Villa Klang Wiang! We plan to be back soon!!

"Great Location but facilities & service needs improvement"

6.0

The location was great, it was closed to the Saturday night market and lot of attractions. The room was nice and clean however during our stay here the water ran out twice in two days, we were not able to use any water, apparently only the B wing has water, therefore I would recommend not to stay in the A wing. The breakfast was good but the service needs improvement, when there is a lot of people waiting to eat they are often slow and confused on what you order(breakfast customize selection was done a night before). Also recommend not to eat too late, because breakfast close at 10am and their main goal was not to serve food, but to clean the place first. The hotel has free shuttle bus to airport, recommend to reserve via email or front desk. The room is quite noise, I could hear people from next room talking from my room. The one thing good about the room was it offer air cleaner which was amazing. Overall, if just look as the price and quality I will still recommend people who stayed in Chiangmai to stay at this place because you can get a cozy room at a good price.

"Best experience in Ching Mai"

10.0

We stayed here for 4 nights. The room is very clean and spacious. There is also a very cozy balcony where you can just relax or dry your clothes. Staffs are friendly. The location is actually great. It is located in a quiet street but within 10-15 mins to walk to Sat. or Sun. night market. The breakfast was amazing. There are so much to choose and were all very tasty. We will definitely recommend it to everyone and come back again when we are in ChingMai.

"Lovely boutique hotel"

8.0

We stayed at Villa Klang Wiang for 3 nights in April. The hotel is clean, has a real authentic Thai feel to it with lovely decorations and is well laid out. The pool is of good size and on one side of the hotel so little cause of noise or disruption to guests (unless you choose one of the rooms next to the pool). It is in a safe area and within easy walking distance to Chiang Mai Gate food market and 15 mins from the airport. We had a room with 2 double beds on the first floor. The room was beautiful and clean with a balcony facing the courtyard. The hotel provides amenities for the bathroom and free water and snacks are stocked daily. There is a good selection for breakfast (Thai or eggs/toast/pancakes etc) and they typically ask you to order the night before. Staff is generally friendly although cant be seen at the front desk typically so you have to ring the bell for assistance if required. Overall a great place to stay and good value for money but 2 points of criticism: - the mattresses are rock hard. We asked for an extra duvet to put on the mattress to make it more comfortable after a horrific first night - we found the room to be very noisy as we could hear them rearrange furniture in the breakfast room at 6am every morning and heard our upstairs neighbors walking up and down the room. I guess one way of avoiding this is to ask for a room on the top floor.

"High end finishes, no services "

6.0

This hotel is beautiful and large as other guests reviewed. However, I moved hotels after three nights because there is nothing around the hotel for snacks/drinks/food and the hotel doesn’t provide any service outside of breakfast. I tried to order a coffee in the afternoon and they told me to make it in my room (instant). No drinks to enjoy at their lovely pool, not even coconuts! There is also not bathroom in the pool/gym area, that was annoying. If you want to have a lovely room, quiet surroundings this place is nice. I prefer to have more of an inclusive feeling to the hotel so I don’t have to constantly leave. Also be advised there is a construction site across the street, no noise but ugly view from the balcony.

"Great location "

8.0

Stayed here for five nights and loved the comfort of the bedroom and the spaciousness of the balcony to rest during some of our afternoons. The Villa is beautifully decorated and we found it to be in a good central position to walk to all the major sights/temples. My major irritation however was having to decide on breakfast choices the night before and I refused to specify time for breakfast. That said the breakfasts were really great. The other odd thing was the Villa didn’t seem to have any ‘soul’. Very little interaction by staff as to how you were enjoying your stay. No sign of a manager coming around at breakfast for example enquiring how things were going. No focal point like an evening bar. Guests just came and went. Little sense of ‘hospitality’ but overall the niceness of the Villa compensated for this. But I think next time I would stay somewhere with a little more character.

"Lovely oasis!"

10.0

This lovely boutique hotel in the old city makes coming back after a whole day of walking, eating and shopping, pure bliss! My friend and I spent 2 nights here recently and felt that it was a real treat in every sense - big and bright room, beautiful grounds, tasteful furnishings, friendly smiles. Our oasis in the old city of Chiang Mai! :)

"Phenomenal & extraordinary"

10.0

A lovely just completed high-end boutique hotel which created an oasis from the city. Absolutely gorgeous grounds, large rooms with expansive balconies (can sit 3-4 people with comfortable seating), and many public nooks and spaces to read a book and relax. Breakfast includes Chinese, Western, and northern Thai options. Rooms have blackout blinds behind nice looking curtains which ensured perfectly restful sleep in the four-poster beds. At night small candles are placed all over the property, resulting in a magical and romantic atmosphere. Only caveat is that some rooms overlook new construction although we never heard any noise. I would return in a heartbeat. This ranks as one of the best places I have every stayed.
