Albergo Locanda Garibaldi

The accommodation is located above a lovely, very Italian restaurant and room 1 overlooks the rear of the Palazzo Publico on the Piazza del Campo, therefore it has an excellent proximity for the historic centre of Siena. We were greeted warmly on arrival, and throughout our stay every member of the team helpful and friendly.

For anyone with mobility issues, the stairs in this property will always be a challenge, and some drinking water in the room would have been a nice touch, but I'm guessing that reflects the very reasonable per night rate for the accommodation so close to the centre.

We were hiking the Via Francigena and wanted a place near the trail - this property fit the bill. The hotel is very centrally located, a very short walk to the Campo. So, of course, it was within easy walking of many restaurants, bars, attractions, etc. This is an old-fashioned hotel, nothing fancy, with the room located above the restaurant. The room was large enough and clean, although a little bare-bones. Seriously, though, we weren't in Siena to spend time in our room so it was fine by us. The bed was adequate.

Tutto. Locazione formidabile a pochi metri da Piazza del Campo. Mangiare ottimo e senza fronzoli, dosi eccellenti. Cortesia e attenzione .

Non si può fare colazione ma, è l'ultimo dei problemi. A pochi passi ci si può sbizzarrire...

Stairs!

This is a family run hotel. The service was excellent. No elevator but it wasn't a problem for us. They also have a restaurant that serves dinner. The prices were reasonable and the food was excellent.

This is a basic but charming little hotel with friendly helpful staff and the perfect location, being 100 yards from Piazza del Campo. Beautifully clean and characterful and good value for money

It didn't bother me but it's a very old building with little sound insulation between the rooms so I just wouldn't recommend it for light sleepers
