Perfect Holiday Apartment

La posizione è decisamente buona per quanto riguarda la possibilità di prendere i mezzi pubblici. Metro, tram e autobus sono veramente a 5/10 minuti di cammino. La zona non è bellissima ma visitando Budapest, tolto proprio il "centro", dubito si possa trovare di meglio. Il parcheggio nelle vie di Budapest, dovrebbe essere a pagamento. Ma siccome non capivamo bene come funzionava, abbiamo deciso di lasciare la macchina in un parcheggio coperto a pagamento (16 euro a notte) che si trova ad una decina di metri più avanti.

Benchè le foto fossero effettivamente dell'appartamento, faccio un plauso al fotografo per come ha saputo rappresentarlo. Vederlo dal vivo è stata un pò una delusione.

La ubicación no estaba mal.

El apartamento estaba sucio y olía mal. La cocina a parte de no tener luz estaba muy sucia y tenía cosas, como si alguien viviese allí (trapos sucios en los cajones, restos de comida…). El propietario era desagradable, no hizo ningún esfuerzo en que le pudiésemos entender, decía que no sabía ingles y nos hablaba en húngaro. Tuvimos un problema con una persiana y más lejos de ayudarnos nos hizo vivir una situación muy desagradable. Por último, al tener que pagar el precio del apartamento en mano, nos hizo pagar más de lo que nosotros habíamos contratado alegando un tipo de cambio de moneda que no era el vigente. En fin, un desastre.

Nothing major just maybe more comfortable seating like a sofa with arms instead of the 2 small armless seats which are fine if you are staying for a few days! A more substantial drying rack for towels would be helpful!

Toilet paper wasn't enough unfortunately, My suggestion : charge 1 EUR more, but offer sufficient toilet paper 🧻.

The location was perfect, kitchen is well equipped The shower works well, it was nice and warm.

The hot tap in the bathroom is a trickle. The TV has a awful picture, a problem with the aerial I suspect. The bed linen was strange for is.. 2 separate duvets and the pillows were weird., it would be better with a cotton sheet and duvet and proper pillows with pillowcases.

Really nice hosts made the check in-check out process really easy despite our super early flight in the morning. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed for a week's stay. Even though I traveled with my mum, the apartment was spacious and also warm and cosy, great for relaxing after days long exploration of Budapest. Close to public transport but also quite easy to walk to some mains sites and in a quiet neighbourhood. Overall really good experience and highly recommend it!

I would give a 10/10 if the washing machine was also available for guest's use, though I do understand that this could have been a challenge for the host in terms of logistics and ensuring the apartment stays safe. Overall, it was a minor inconvenience and one that could be accommodated by laundromats in a short walking distance for the flat.
