Central Retreat and self contained with free wifi

It was the perfect space for a chill 2 night stay. Location was good with everything close by. Had everything needed.

Location was central and within walking distance of a lovely cafe. Facility was clean, bed comfortable, hot showers and towels.

No criticism - would have liked a cutting board and bread/butter plates.

No milk and bathroom door latch seemed broken.

The room hadn't been aired out, the glasses and crockery were not clean, the tea towel was not of a quality that actually dried anything, having to wash the dishes in the bathroom sink was a big turn-off. Inside seating - yes but you could not seat two here comfortably. I felt so depressed when I got there that I immediately went to seek alternative accommodation and tried to cancel my booking, I was unable to cancel the second night without losing $230 so I decided to stay the one night and didn't return the second night. I didn't want to have any direct interaction with the owners as no-one was in the house and they probably engage a cleaning service. My husband was due to join me for the following night and the best decision was to get out of there. I will admit that I missed on the booking info that the room didn't contain a meal option but overall it was pretty claustrophobic and felt like you were in someone's home but not welcome in the rest of the house! I'll stick to hotels/motels with dishwashers in the future.
