Casa Dana

We spent several days at Casa Dana with my boyfriend and dog, including Christmas. We lived in the house with another family, but we had the whole floor to ourselves, including the bathroom with washing machine. The kitchen is well equipped, including a dishwasher, kettle, fridge, etc. The house is clean and cosy. The owner is a pleasant lady. We didn't miss anything at all. Thank you.

This was a great stay, the perfect location to hike in the mountains or to have a relaxed time away from the busy areas of town. Need a 4x4 to get up the hill to park next to the house, or can park further down. Great value for money. Owner speaks english which is a huge plus.

The place was very clean, good value for money and the location and view were amazing. We only saw the host once during our 4 day stay, but she was very nice and polite. When we arrived, she wasn't there, but we received instructions on how to get in, and other guests were very helpful in explaining the house rules as well. The facilities are very good, we were able to use the dishwasher and washing machine, liquid detergent was provided. The kitchen was well equipped. We also used the outside grilling place, which has a nice, big, comfortable sitting area under a roof. The accommodation is 1.5 km away from Mănăstirea Pietroasa, where the mountain hiking routes start. It's possible to drive there and leave the car in the monastery parking lot. The way down into the city of Borșa is on a narrow, winding road, but we managed it without problems every day, the drivers there are considerate of each other. A short drive away, around 11-12 km, there is Telegondola and Telescaun, 2 different ways of going up the mountain, in a cabin, or in a chairlift, respectively. They are within short distance of each other and they take you to different places, so they are both worth checking out. There were no bedside lamps and not enough electric outlets in our room. We stayed in the ground floor suite, which was a little dark and cool, perfect for summer, but maybe not as great in winter. The best room is the attic one, it has 2 double beds, 2 balconies on either side of the house and a private bathroom. On the other 2 floors there are 2 rooms, each for for 2-3 people, and one shared bathroom per floor. On our floor the other room wasn't occupied, so we had the bathroom all to ourselves, which was very nice. Downstairs there is also a dining room with 2 big tables and more dishes and cutlery in the cabinets, as well as a working fireplace, which would probably be very nice in winter.

Panoramic is Excellent, view is fantastic fresh air and natural vegetation . The road near the house is a bit hilly and slippery with crash rocks , with the 4x4 not a problem at all.

The sleep is very good, Quite location and private.

The location is exceptional, the view is wonderful. The hostess is really nice :) It worths it!

Carefull, it can be difficult to access the accommodation by car... Furthermore the bathroom was really cold

It is a quiet area of the city, it is not izolated, near the Pietroasa Monastery where you can start the hicking for Pietrosu and Lake Iezer. There is a kitchen with all facilities, barbeque place outside, playground for children. There is enough privacy.There is parking possibilty. As mentioned by other quests, the road to the is guest house is not so good for small cars. The property offers an alternative to park in a nearby courtyard. We enjoyed our stay.

The last 100m up to the house, as mentioned by other guests aswell. Wifi needs an signal amplifier. On second level of the house we had no wifi. Maybe bring an cord extension plug with you to have access to multiple plugs.
