The "continental" breakfast was generous and tasty. Lovely fresh-squeezed orange juice. One of the most comfortable beds I've had in a long time. The views--of the castle and of the River Tejo--were wonderful! The staff were very friendly and accommodating--particularly when the railway went on strike, and we ended up having to take a cab back towards Lisboa. Breakfast, normally scheduled for 9 am, was brought forward to just after 6 so we could make our schedule! Muito obrigada!

we arrived under short notice and were quickly welcomed. we had 3 rooms - all immaculate. Probably the comfiest bed and pillows ever. The place was stunning….
