1402 Rooms

The central location could not be better- a short walk to everywhere and Matera has a very relaxing feel. The rooms were huge and airy. The bathroom had a gorgeous bath, as well as a shower. Furniture and fixtures were new and modern. Nicola, the host , met us and explained everything. A few snacks were left, which were much appreciated. Breakfast was coffee and a pastry in a local cafe, for which we were given a voucher: it is good to see local businesses supporting each other. We wish Nicola and Letizia well with letting their delightful rooms.

e had a fantastic stay in Matera. The apartment was excellent, perfectly located, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The host was very kind, approachable, and always available if we needed anything. The place was spotless, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed, which made us feel at home right away. The location is ideal for exploring the city, with major attractions, restaurants, and shops just a short walk away. Communication with the host was smooth and efficient from the beginning to the end of our stay. Overall, it exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely choose to stay here again. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely one-night stay at 1402 Accommodation in Matera. Traveling with my mum, we really appreciated the comfort, cleanliness, and welcoming atmosphere. The location made it easy to explore the beautiful Sassi, even with limited time. Everything felt well thought out, and the host (Nicola) was very kind and helpful. A short stay, but a very pleasant one—we’d happily return!
