No major complaints. The two small rooms are a bit loud at night and the kitchen seemed a bit dated

Kitchen a bit tired, old units and appliances, toaster poor, lack of dishwasher tablets and washing machine powder Dishwasher door no spring Crockery chipped and cracked and non matching Kettle too small and slow Noisy at night. We had read previous reviews but didn’t realise how bad this would be No instructions for TV and CD player Missing batteries in controls Not enough waste bags Furniture an odd mix of old stuff Handles missing from drawers / one door handle broken. Some Shutters damaged Discarded furniture in and around the apartment which should be cleared out

NOTHING! NOISE UNTIL 4AM!! We expected some noise from this premium priced, centrally located apartment but we did not expect loud music and noise until 4am! It is NOT just chatter as one other reviewer mentioned. WE WERE UNABLE TO SLEEP IN 2 OF THE 3 BEDROOMS IN THIS APARTMENT! We are a family of four. If you intend to sleep in more than one bedroom DO NOT BOOK THIS APARTMENT! A nightclub/bar is located below the apartment and the loud music and noise make it impossible to sleep! LOUD MUSIC UNTIL 4AM!! NOT JUST CHATTER!! This should not be sold as an apartment on Booking.com - it is NOT A PLACE OF REST! There is a nice terrace.

WE DID NOT LIKE THAT WE COULD NOT SLEEP IN THIS APARTMENT UNTIL 4AM! 1. THE NOISE UNTIL 4AM!! An apartment needs to provide a place of rest and this apartment does not provide this! Please do not book this apartment. If you have booked but have the option to cancel, I STRONGLY suggest that you CANCEL! 2. AIR CONDITIONING Air conditioning is only in the bedrooms and the air conditioning units make noise. There is no air conditioning in the living area. The living area is HOT AND NOISY! 3. STAIRS TO APARTMENT There are 4 flights of stairs to the apartment. 4. WASHING MACHINE The washing machine is old and smelly. The iron was good. We contacted Booking.com during our stay and they offered to refund us the remainder of the booking. This shows that they are only too aware of the noise situation. We would have left but there was no alternative accommodation in Taormina at such short notice

Pre-arrival communications with our host allowed us to easily adjust our plans after a 24hr flight delay! Anne welcomed us and was very informative and friendly. Her restaurant and walking recommendations were EXCELLENT. The apartment was everything our family group needed! It was spacious and well equipped, very clean and so so charming! We thought the views from the balconies were great, and then we went up to the roof terrace - WOW! To one side Mount Etna, the other side the sea. It was breathtaking. Added to this it was perfectly located for Porta Catania car park and the supermarket.

Perhaps not appropriate for those with mobility issues? Stairs up to the flat and then more again to the roof terrace. We were not affected by this. Again, we were not affected, in fact we really enjoyed the central location and the bustle that goes with that, but there is restaurant terrace noise that you can hear in the bedrooms at night. NOT loud music, just chatter.

kitchen and equipment very tired but know there are plans to improve. Rubber mattress protectors very uncomfortable

The location was exceptional and it is a beautiful home with the most incredible terrace looking out over the sea. Ann the landlady is very helpful and was on hand to sort out anything she could.

The place could have been cleaner, in addition there was not any of the little touches that make life easier when you arrive somewhere new like hand soap in the bathroom, washing up liquid etc. the plates and cutlery we’re almost all entirely cracked or chipped which then didn’t feel that clean. The place just felt slightly tired and in need of a deep clean/spruce up. As an example the shower head and tap in the master bedroom was so clogged with limescale. The shower I managed to de clog but the tap was not possible.
