The location was good

We had booked a Superior Room but were given one right next to the bar. The room was small, the balcony was pointless, and it was unbearably loud due to constant noise from the bar and the busy road outside. To make matters worse, the room wasn’t cleaned on the second day despite our two-night stay. We couldn’t even keep the windows open because of mosquitoes. Overall, it was not a good experience. We stayed at lovely places in Colombo and Bentota, but this property was a huge disappointment.

Very unfriendly Russian(?) staff at check in. There was no friendliness, no manners and no engagement when we arrived and asked them for advice. The man actively ignored us. The woman was a little more friendly, but it seemed to be a great inconvenience for us to be at the hotel. I don’t know if they are staff or if they help manage the property for a Sri Lankan owner - but they need to learn basic ‘customer service’ skills. We have been doing charity work in rural Sri Lanka and we really needed t relax and rest - there was no chance here. On the Friday night there was a party which made our roof, windows and doors shake. Bad luck? Bad timing? We also booked a superior room and were initially given an inferior room when we checked in….

Excellent location across the beach and walking distance to town. Samith, the owner is extremely friendly and helpful. Provided late checkout and arranged for transportation to the airport.

Large and very clean room, sweet people. There's laundry as well. On the main street near restaurants and surfing clubs.
