Riad Bab Lakhmiss

We were really grateful for such a lovely Riad to stay in when we arrived in Marrakech and wished we could stay longer! The bathroom was really unique and the bedroom was homely and cosy. The staff are lovely and really helpful (we were staying on NYE and the host gave us a key to let ourselves in as we knew it would be a late return). The staff also allowed us to leave our luggage at the Riad during the day to go and explore as our train was in the evening. Would highly recommend this place.

il Riad dispone di un servizio Navetta molto comodo. Il nostro aereo è arrivato di notte e un’ora dopo ma nonostante questo il driver è venuto a prenderci. Al nostro risveglio in Riad la colazione è stata davvero abbondante e fatta con cura.

Il Riad si trova lontano dal centro in una zona non turistica e non sicura, i taxi non arrivano. Il guardiano è una persona un pó sgorbutica.. controlla ogni movimento degli ospiti. Le stanze hanno cattivo odore a causa del sistema fognario e sono abbastanza fredde e umide. Non c’è il phon. Noi il secondo giorno abbiamo chiesto se fosse possibile avere la colazione un’ora prima e ci è stato detto di no, nonostante avessimo già pagato.

I loved the attention to detail the staff offered. They did all they could to ensure a happy and comfortable stay without being over-bearing or intrusive.

I would have liked more options for breakfast such as eggs or even a hot chocolate as the mornings were quite cold. Nonetheless, the breakfast was very nice and I recommend 👌🏿

My stay at the riad was absolutely perfect. Most importantly, the whole staff was really friendly and helpful - when I mentioned it was my first time in Morocco and traveling alone they provided me with a bunch of helpful information and kept checking on me through the stay, which kept me feeling well taken care of and safe. The room was comfortable and clean, the Moroccan breakfast was a highlight of everyday and the extra dinner (to order) was super tasty as well. The riad is located in the Medina but a bit off the main touristy location (like 20 minutes leisure walk to the main plaza through the alleys and souks) which for me was great - it was a bit calmer than in the strict centre and it was nice to have the opportunity to observe the locals a bit as they went about their day. Overall a great experience, I definitely recommend this riad.
