The owner was very kind and accepted our booking a few hours before new year's eve. A cozy nook right in the center of Budapest, it had everything we needed to spend the night and get up and running in the morning. We've spent nights in hotels that offered way less for way more money.

It was a bit difficult to keep the temperature where we wanted it with the two oil radiators but it was a minor inconvenience at worst.

If you go in winter season, you need to sleep in jacket is so cold inside .

Horribly cold in the appartment, only two small pieces of old heating systems which you need to plug in the pin socket. It wasnt enough of course to heat up the entire room. We booked it in this period when its cold so I don't recommend taking a reservation here in the winter. We left in the same evening and demanded a cancellation of the reservation, host tried to offer other locations but we refused. They did promise a refund and later they told us that we used the bathroom and the beds and that they are sorry but there wont be any refund because they couldn't prepare the room fast enough for other customers. Shameful experience.

The location is brilliant.

Don't want to drag it down too much but: -We had to contact the host about the check in details. (As normally you should receive a message about how and what to do on your arrival) -We didn't get the details until 30 minutes before our arrival which was very strange and didn't make us feel comfortable. - Clearly kitchen utensils were cleaned by the previous tenant and left dirty. - The ceiling fan isn't supported property and if you want to change the speed you have to do it manually by pulling a cord, and at higher speeds it's very wobbly (unsafe). Results: very hot in the apartment.
