you noticed the smell upon arrival. When I went to make a drink the kitchen was overrun with cockroaches.
AUGood value . Basically a normal type of brick house . Has 4 bedrooms ( master has ensuite ) . Communal kitchen and living areas . A laundry with drier and a line outside . Place is kept in good nick . Jesse is a good bloke .
Some guests don’t understand communal living doesn’t mean leaving your toiletries in the shower , or dishes and pots on the drying rack - put your stuff away !
AUGot woken up at 0530 to doors slamming shut and people moving about the property. I tried to sleep through it but it lasted almost an hour so I decided to get out of bed and shower and leave. If not I would have enjoyed a sleep in. Also the pillows were way too hard and shit. Wouldn’t stay again.
AUAUAUThe ensuite room was spacious, and given I was only there for about 10 hours was suitable enough. The dogs, Luna and Buddy, a wonderful welcoming pat
The building with the accommodation was difficult to find, as it looked like staff quarters due to the mess surrounding it, and the signage was non existent, even with the videos Jesse sent through. It actually said caretakers cottage or something similar. The grounds were unkempt, overgrown and out of control, with broken furniture everywhere, plastic drums strewn about the place, broken fountains and sculptures, swimming pool full of rubbish. There were cockroaches on the bench in the shared kitchen area when I went to heat up my dinner. The bathroom curtains were closed as the outlook was simply more piles of rubbish. My room looked out onto the entrance pathway so I couldn't have the curtains open at all.
AUAUThe room was fine. Easy check in. Good location.
Air condioner heat did not reach the bedroom.
