"Unfriendly and risky. Be careful! Would not recommend."

Spacious apartment

Complicated and unfriendly check-in. Steep carpeted stairs to the apartment. Outside garden neglected and outdoor furniture too dirty to use. Poor kitchen facilities with crockery, etc, stored just above the floor and difficult to access. No drinking glasses provided. Kitchen / bathroom/ laundry / toilet accessible by steps and the floor is very slippery in a small space. I slipped and fell, sustaining a bad ankle sprain. Given this, I could not visit any of the sites that we travelled to see, and my ongoing train travel around Japan is very difficult and painful. Whilst we respect house rules, the tone is very harsh. The drying function on the washing machine is ineffective. No luggage storage. There is nothing welcoming about this place, and that is in stark contrast to our overall experience in Japan.
