Flowers in the city - Elegant Home in Argostoli

Beautiful clean house. Amazing host. Helped us with renting a car even before we got there. Answered all questions promptly. Perfect location.

A very centrally located apartment with a nice roof terrace. The owner is absolutely charming and went out of his way to help us with queries, local advice and recommendations.

The apartment is small so a bit tight for a family of 5 (it would suit 2-3 people ideally) although we did get used to it and since we were out most of the day it actually wasn’t a problem.

Everything was Great

Quiet, plenty of hot water, comfortable outdoor space.

The access roads were steep and narrow and we didn't risk the off road parking space. Too tight and small. When we came to leave several road were blocked by cars. The roof terrace was rather a mess after the winds, and the owner in Athens, so no doubt wasn't aware of this. Uninviting and we didn't use it. The sofa was uncomfortable, a day-bed design. We didn't like having to put the actual front door key in the gadget to turn the electricity on. This meant having to take the key outside and cut off hot water etc. Quite a climb up the hill from town. No problem for us but there it is. The property is quaint though, with character and very inexpensive. There is a supermarket nearby.

Location in Argostoli was great - short walk to the main shopping street and harbour areas. Nice view from the rooftop garden (this was being done up for the upcoming summer season so will provide a lovely place to sit on a summer evening - we were visiting just before the main tourist season started). The outdoor seating in the front, amongst the greenery was lovely. The house had everything needed for a pleasant stay. We were a family group of 5 (with older children/teens), there was enough room for us, though if staying longer than a couple of nights the house would be small as the 5th/6th beds are in the lounge room. However the house was excellent value. The host was very friendly and helpful and was on hand to ensure we got in OK and showed us what we needed to know. There is a dedicated parking space for the house not far away which is great as parking on the street could be tricky at busier times.

Additional chairs outside so that 5/6 people can sit (although we used the stools from inside). Apart from that we were happy with the accommodation. It is tricky to drive to as there are one way roads everywhere, though once we worked it out we were fine.
