Very cosy and welcoming. Family couldn't have been nicer. Handy for walking and doggy friendly. Nice wee shop in the village if you run out of munchies and close enough to town for restaurants etc

"The perfect wee get away hideout"

10.0

The setting in Strathyre is amazing with an incredible view of the hill out front to wake up to in the mornings was utter bliss. The hosts are fantastic and very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area restraunts etc. The cabin/chalet itself is cosy and comfortable and perfect for a wee get away. Both my partner and myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be booking again for sure as it makes an ideal wee base for days out exploring the trossachs.

Nothing it was ideal

"Was Ok for a few Days but would not like a Week because it’s too small"

7.0

It was a self catering accommodation so we cooked breakfast and dined in the cabin which was ok but lacked any room to prepare your food but the views were great and location good for walks Nice cabin

I Think because it was advertised as pet friendly it was not ideal because there was no secure area to let your pet out and being fairly close to a Maine road was not good Would also benefit better Heating

"Amazing cabin in beautiful landscape"

10.0

Cozy little log cabin. Woods behind it look like faerieland. Very well equipped, welcoming and very helpful hosts, good shower, private parking space. Stunning surroundings. As for food: At the Broch CafĂ© down the road we had a really nice lunch. Good restaurants are just a short drive away. In short: you’re lucky if you are able to book this one!

Nothing!

"Lovely stay in stunning surroundings"

9.0

Lovely little cabin. Really enjoyed our stay. We slept on the double sofa bed in the lounge which was really comfortable. The cabin was immaculately clean throughout. TV has Netflix/Prime, you just sign in with your own account. Kitchen is tiny but has everything we needed, toilet/shower very small too. Great little post office/village shop 1 min walk up street which was well stocked. Not much places to eat beside cabin so you'll need a car and have to travel. Few nice pubs just up road 10 mins for food

Shower not great, struggled a bit with water pressure to rinse hair. WiFi a bit hit and miss. The cabin is right next to a busy road and no way of enclosing the garden, not ideal for the dog as had to be on lead all time. No food/decent pubs within walking distance, all few miles away

"We were crying on our way back returning to the concrete jungle prison."

10.0

Location was stunning, with extremely easy access to main road with a parking space just off of it. Very cozy, little cabin with more than all comforts you need for you trip to the mountains. Fully equipped kitchen, welcoming updated interior, log burners inside as well as outside, BBQ area, tennis court just few steps away. Local shop in the village 7-5p.m.. Perfect base for your biking trip as the biking routes surrounding the area of Strathyre are vast and very picturesque. All great walking hikes close by or within half hour driving distance. Wifi on site.

Spiders, although it is a log cabin in the woods. Lack of clear and precise map of all walking routes surrounding the area. It would be advantageous as we had to use alltrails.com or other apps to find exact trails and connection on our phones was hardly available higher up in the mountains. Not at all An Carraig disadvantage as the hosts were extremely helpful, but it would make a great addition to welcome pack for all tourists planning on walking trips.
