Bluegum Cottage B&B and Self Catering

The hospitality and friendliness of the owners. Small-town-friendly, acceptance and help. The cottage was neat and clean and a wonderful place to lay your head after a long trip. The owner, (Bluegum) Johan, phoned around to help with information. The trip was a family tree visit to find out more about where our family came from and did. We also went to a restaurant/pub ( Green pub & restaurant) where we meet with some wonderful people from the area who then helped us with a lot of information about the history of the area. An amazing time in Smithfield.

There was not a patio available and the braai area was poor

Loved the garden setting and the fan.

Everything was great. Maybe provide mozzie spray. They are man size in Smithfield

The hostess, Kitty, went to the trouble to pre-record the semi-final of the Soccer World Cup as I only arrived at half-time. There was also a generator in place so load shedding was not a problem. Very good WiFi

Nothing was lacking.

Fully equipped kitchenette. Ran the generator during load shedding. Secure parking. Kitty provided a torch as requested.
