Christos studios and family apartments

Very good location friendly host

We stayed in studio no. 1 on the 1st floor for a week. Location is excellent - 2 minute walk to the beach, but far the rushed main road at the same time. The studio is very nicely decorated and clean. It had it's own separated balcony with patio. We got new towels every 2 days. The small kitchen is well-equipped - 2 pots with lids, a small pan, a shredded and other basic utensils. There's a private parking space in front of the property.

Finding the property - a sign on the main road pointing to the property (which is located in the alley not shown on Google maps) would be great. We received additional instructions to find the place after asking but none beforehand. Very poor WiFi, though the owner made an effort to improve it during our stay and it got a little better. Bed - you can feel the mattress springs. Shower curtain might need replacing. Microwave would be a nice addition to the kitchen. The fridge was working quite loudly from time to time - not ideal if you're a light sleeper.

Super close to the beach, the owner's family is living right next to the apartment and are super nice. They even gave us a lift to Arcangelo.

Despina, Christos' wife was very kind to us. She brought us things to eat that she had cooked and fruit and olives. She cleaned the room every day and replaced the towels and emptied the bins. Every second day she changed the bed-sheets. She was always cheerful and a delight to us. Christos came in and explained how to use the air conditioner - while it's on, the windows and doors should be shut. Charlie from Stegna Mare explained that he has his set to 26 degrees Celsius, but then he is a Greek; we settled for 25 degrees. It had an excellent fridge freezer, an oven, a toasty maker.

The best place we have stayed on our frequent trips to Greece! Christos and Despoina are very kind people who will do everything for your satisfaction and still manage to have a friendly chat with you. Everyday cleanliness, clean towels - anything we needed was taken care of promptly by Despoina. Slow internet and once the electricity goes out? Well what would you want on an island plagued by huge fires. Still, at a time like this, Christos arranged everything we needed within hours. And you don't go on holiday to work! We can only recommend this place - Stegna - a few steps from the sea, in the place shops and very good taverns, car rental. There is a lot to see on the island of Rhodes, even if you "only" went to visit the Old City.
