The room was spotless with a pleasant scent, and the bed provided a good night’s sleep. There was always plenty of hot water available. The host was exceptionally friendly and communicative, making the stay even more enjoyable. A spacious shared living room offered the opportunity to prepare hot drinks and relax while watching TV—a nice bonus. Overall, it’s a basic yet cozy accommodation, perfect for travelers seeking a good night’s rest in the area. Note: the room doesn’t have a TV or Wi-Fi, which wasn’t an issue for me, but might be for others.

We had a wonderful stay in a cozy and beautifully decorated room that perfectly captured the essence of Romanian style. It is a typical Romanian holiday place, a room with a bathroom and a sala. The room was very nicely decorated, in a typical wooden house at the cul-de-sac. The property has a nice green garden, outside seats, it is quiet and the owners are very friendly. Both the room and bathroom are well arranged and very comfortable. The water is hot, the room is very clean, there's a small table inside and a fridge in the corridor. The sala is spacious, there are dishes and flatware (not 100% sure if guests are allowed to borrow them directly, sorry if we shouldn't have 😅), coffee machine, kettle, and tea. The town itself is really nice and the people are super friendly even for Romanian high standards. The church in the village is one of the nicest we have seen and the keeper is very happy to tell You all the history of the place. It has effective heating and I think it could be great to visit in winter with snow. Very much recommended.

This comes naturally with the type of property, but to mention a few things, the wooden houses are generally less soundproofed so You can hear the neighbours above. The internet was a bit weak. It might not be the best if You plan to work for a longer period of time, however the owner was so nice, I believe they would do their best to assist You. For holidays, it is wonderful.

The setting was beautiful and the house very photogenic. The room was clean and spacious. It was easy to get to a number of sights.

We were not asked what we would prefer for breakfast that was difficult as I have a number of food intolerances. We informed our host, so breakfast the second day allowed me to eat more.

Located on a rural side street in the village of Calistini in Maramures, this beautiful traditional building has been renovated inside to be modern with traditional decorations. The property provides an authentic look at how people live. The grandparents in traditional dress take care of the property while the host Gheorge comes back from work as the school accountant to show his guests around. He took us through his neighbors' yards to demonstrate the ancient river "washing machine," a wooden vat with the clothes agitated by dammed river water. The grandmother showed me around the yard.

The room was too hot at night, but we opened a window.

Amazing old wooden house, with modern facilities. Warm and cozy. Large rooms with a bathroom each. All amenities. Access to a common space/room with wifi and tables/chill area. Everything was clean and the hosts very friendly and responsive.
