Monte dos Cordeiros

Fantastic hospitality, the owner was there to welcome us, made sure we had absolutely everything we needed. Catered for every single thing that I asked for and was extremely generous in making sure it was all fulfilled. Very nice trails to walk or ride (they have mtb to loan), fantastic star-gazing, bird watching. Scenery is amazing, a working farm being used for a thesis of a PhD and an owner that can tell you all about it! Sincerely impressed at how serene and luxurious this felt all with a clear and accredited sustainability badge. Fantastic project that is true to it's roots in the Alentejo region.

Drive up to the property, this is a farm and naturally the access is gravel but nothing my car couldn't handle if we went slow. The only other thing I didn't like was leaving!

Wonderful peaceful location, we were staying in one of the two lodges with stunning views. So calm! . Breakfast was lovely. The staff is very friendly. Perfect place I recommend highly.

The perfect place to relax, disconnect and recharge your batteries! The design is a mix between traditional and contemporary that makes you feel at home. You have plenty to explore and to walk or bike around. The owners are super welcome and the staff is amazing! The breakfast, with local products, is delicious! We will be sure to be back!

i'd say this is the best country-side stay we've ever had. the property is amazing, well designed with very good taste. details like the fact that it's blue and it kinda blends in with the sky or the traditional woodwork of the tables and chairs clearly shows that a lot of heart was put into this. the view is simply breathtaking, it's a painting everywhere you look. remember the Windows XP wallpaper? this is better! the beds are really comfortable, and the houses are spacious and nicely equipped. breakfast was very good, and the hosts were really nice. they took the time to explain the background story of the property and the plans for the future. the warm nights made us want to stay outside listening to the cowbells. so soothing. we will definitely return :)

The check-in process was easy and fast as we had direct communication with the owners. The house we stayed was perfect with a kitchenette where we could do all the meals (if we wanted to), comfortable bed too. The breakfast served was good too. I had to work 2 of the 4 days we stayed and the Wi-Fi worked really well in our house. The location is amazing and we had the chance to have an explanation from the owners about how Monte dos Cordeiros started as well as a quick "tour" that included a visit to the sheep and the goats they have in the Herdade. Perfect place to relax! Thank you
