Hotel Berghof

The room's interiour isn't strictly modern and the bathroom looks somewhat outdated but it is very comfortable and extremely clean. The reception girl was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is amazing. There's not much one might want which isn't provided at the buffet. In this little village, nestled against the mountain, there is not much to disturb your sleep (apart perhaps from some other guests babbling loudly in the hallway at night). Something that might not mean much to others but is important to me was the quality of the pillow on the bed. Good filling, not too flat and not too hard but utterly comfortable.

Hotel Berghof is located near the Weinstrasse and is set among lovely wine fields and charming villages. There are numerous hikes available. The breakfast was varied (broetchen, muesli, ham, wurst, cooked eggs, marmalades, jogurt, juices, etc). Our room had a lovely view and was very quiet.

Unfortunately the dining facilities were only open between Thursday and Sunday evenings (and we were there on a Wednesday). But the hotel provided this information with our reservation so we were aware. There are many excellent places to eat in the area so one won't go hungry.

Nice size room, very quite area with parking outside and a brilliant breakfast

The Hotel Berghof is in a quiet rural location near Trifels castle and the B10 autoroute that crosses the Rhineland-Palatinate westwards towards Saarbrucken. There aren't many restaurants nearby but our friendly host recommended two that would be open which were within easy driving distance so the evening meal was not a problem. Our room wasn't large but it was adequate, clean and comfortable, with an ensuite shower room. The breakfast the following morning was excellent with a wide choice of mainly cold options. The hotel has a terrace with great views across the valley. We only stayed the one night but other guests recommended the walking and cycling in the area.

The hotel was excellent in every aspect - friendly staff, good accommodation and excellent breakfast. I could not fault it and could certainly recommend it.

There was nothing to dislike at all.

The location is very quiet, has good rooms, and fantastic view/panorama. Almost all hikes in Pfalz can be done from this hotel. Kitchen is also ok. Swimming pool would make it fantastic
