La Plage I Beachfront Villa on the Lagoon

Access to beach was tops. Stephanie the helper was very friendly and helpful. Lots of nice beach towels. Kitchen was nice. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Insulation between the two properties is poor. One can hear the neighbours tv. The bathrooms are dated and not comfortable. Even with water shoes it was uncomfortable to walk in the sea because of the corals. The beach in front is public and used as thoroughfare for local pedestrians who have to walk next to you during high tide. The beach is also used as a taxi rank for noisy speed boats going to the Cerf island. The neighbouring school can be noisy at times. You need a car. It was also very difficult to find even with google.

The location is simply incredible. We had a wonderful stay. The house was nice and clean, well equipped, and Stephanie was very sweet and took great care of us. We even got a late checkout, which allowed us to enjoy another lovely afternoon on the beach. Perfect to disconnect, relax and enjoy beautiful sunrise.

Location is fantastic, secluded yet close to everything. It's a very well appointed semi detached thached house directly on the beach exactly as the photos. General condition of the excellent. A few hinges and vents were corroded due to the sea air and didn't work but this did not stop us enjoying the place. Stephanie the house keeper can also cook,if you ask her or bring foods for you. She made a lovely breakfast a few days we stayed.

Excellent location, fantastic beach, nice house I wish I could have stayed more. So nothing I didn't like.

This was our first stay during our Mauritius trip and we felt really welcome. It allowed us to settle in and rest and comfortably start to explore the island. The property is right on top of a very nice beach, it is well equipped overall(beach towels, toys and umbrella, mosquito repellents, kitchen stocked with the basics for cooking plus water bottles, coffee and tea). It was a very spacious and nicely decorated villa. The cleaning lady came by every day and both her and the owner were very pleasant to interact with. The cleaning lady brought us two pineapples that she prepared for us to eat on different days. Any issues we raised were quickly addressed. We were allowed late checkout without any extra fee.

The property consists of two villas, the one in the booking pictures is being reconstructed and we stayed in the other one but no warning was given to us in advance. The villa we stayed in is in need of reconstruction and repairs(kitchen furniture, oven, windows, terrace door). The cleaning was not as thorough as we would wish or expect, e.g. a cot that was made available but was very dusty so we didn't use it the first night(it was then clean upon request).
