Pousada Manacá — Beachfront Guesthouse on Ilha Grande

A pousada e simples, porem muito bem localizada. O quarto tem um bom tamanho e as roupas de cama e toalhas sao de boa qualidade. O casal Gerard e Maria do Socorro sao muito gentis e atenciosos e prepararam um bolo com velhinhas no dia do meu aniversario, o que me deixou muito feliz e agradecida. Destaque para as gentis Elisangela e Mileide que preparam, com esmero, um café da manhã farto e muito gostoso. O sr. Gerard gosta de conversar e da muitas dicas de restaurantes e passeios. Recomendo a pousada.

Localização, da proximidade da praia e dos funcionários

Da rua ao lado da pousada que tínhamos que passar pra ir ao centro. Muito escura e passava sensação de insegurança. A cama tb não era a coisa mais confortável do mundo

Excelente desayuno y atención.

What a beautiful property! We had a wonderful stay. The big pluses are: the location, first of all. It's off the main drag of Abraao so it's not too touristy and crazy, but still close to all the action and the piers where the boats go for day trips. Gerard and the staff are so sweet and kind and the property itself is a little oasis. The breakfast was generous and delicious, a great way to start every day. The rooms are simple, but have everything you need: clean, fresh sheets and towels, reliable water, shelves and hangers, wifi, AC, and a mini fridge.

A few things to look out for that may impact your experience... 1. It is located right on the beach, literally right on the sand -- which is lovely once you get there, but you'll have to walk about 200 feet in the sand to arrive. Don't bring a rolling suitcase like I did! 2. The beds are firm -- and you may love that. Personally I'm a soft bed gal so I was a little uncomfortable, but my husband didn't mind it at all. 3. I am a light sleeper and on a few nights could hear the bass from music playing at bars/restaurants down the block. This could have been because we were there in January, in the PEAK season when it's busiest. Again, my husband was completely unaffected, so this is just a PSA to any fellow picky and light sleepers out there. Overall we had a great time!
