Gasthof Goldenes Rössle

This is NOT a fancy hotel. It is like the hotels I'd stay in Germany forty years ago. It's family owned and run. The rooms are comfortable. The entire hotel is clean. It's also a little quirky. Check-in is between 6PM and 8PM. The restaurant serves dinner between 6PM and 8PM. Drinks are served until ten. Also, there are several days a week when the restaurant is closed. However, the food is fantastic. The owner has a garden from which she harvests fresh vegetables daily. The tomatoes were amazing. We ate in the hotel our second night, and then returned the next for mostly the same dishes. The hotel is located in a tiny village, and the hotel seems to be the hub of activity. One night a local men's choir was practicing inside while we ate outside. Then the local fire department dropped by for bratwurst and beer. In the distance we could hear some band members practicing. Marvelous!

I wish it didn't have stairs.

A property full of history and character. Qiuet location with its own car park just a short drive into Dinkelsbühl. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed and plenty of space in the room. Plenty to eat for breakfast. Nice staff.

All was good.

In a pretty village, close to the beautiful town of Dinkelsbuhl, this Gasthof had spacious rooms plus baths upstairs, along with good breakfast spreads and typical hearty, delicious German fare in its restaurant. The staff were very polite, kind, and wanting to make our stay as nice as possible.

I liked everything. I will stay there again.

Nice property with local charm, very quiet and clean with everything you need for a beautiful stay.

A little bit far from the village, but we know from the beginning.

Rural,authentic and family run, the welcome was warm, the building wonderful and the village quiet and friendly.
