"Nice place spoilt by management"

Beautifully restored house in a quiet village.

Our stay was spoilt by the service received. On arrival, manager was stressed and gruff. Restaurant busy. We already paid extra for a room upgrade for a superior room. The room shown to us was nothing like the upgrade room we paid for. After explaining this we had to pay even extra to upgrade again. As it was my wife's birthday did not want to argue and paid up. Yes, the room now as good. Then we got told restaurant was closed on Thursday night and we would need to find dinner elsewhere. In the town, everything except three bars closed. Only left over dried up tapas to be bought. The restaurant was open for lunch so why not make extra money and offer something for house guests?
