The Riverside

Very pretty location, perfect for the village. Very welcoming, efficient and hardworking staff. Lovely room (King). Good food.

We enjoyed our visit. The room was lovely but a full length mirror in the room would have been helpful.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It was in another building next to the pub. The pub was in a great location next to the river.

The room was fabulous - we'd booked the quadruple room because it was the only one available, but would book it again just for two of us - good value, with a comfy living room as well as the two bedrooms. Location is very scenic, just across the river from the Thames path and a 5 minute walk to the shops in the town. Dinner and breakfast were both good, and we were lucky enough with the weather to eat breakfast outside beside the river.

The car park gets very busy, and it can be hard to turn out into the traffic queues on the bridge.

Arrived at 20:30 Tuesday evening, restaurant closed at the same time. Bar closed at 21:00. Breakfast only served Friday, Saturday and Sunday despite being advertised on Booking.com as a daily available meal.

The location is lovely.

The only thing I didn’t like was the shower room for the single room I occupied. It was difficult for someone less agile to step up into and a sloping shower curtain is a little awkward. The shower curtain covers the plug hole so care has to be taken not to overspill the shower tray.

A very nice place to stay, with attentive hosts. A charming room with all the comforts. A superb meal, and the English breakfast was excellent! I highly recommend it!

The accommodation was lovely and clean, the setting was beautiful and handy for the little village and river! The food was nice and considering how busy it was as the sun was shining the staff were all lovely!

The only downside was the parking, we couldn’t park at the accommodation and had to park else where when we first arrived, I managed to find a space later on in the day but it wasn’t an actual parking space, would perhaps be helpful to have spaces reserved for people staying overnight, I didn’t manage to move my car to a proper space until 9pm when the car park was clearer.

Le lieu, au bord de la rivière, est charmant. Notre chambre, décorée avec goût, était confortable et accueillante. De quoi préparer des boissons était mis à disposition, ainsi que des dosettes de savon et shampoing. Nous avons également apprécié le restaurant juste à côté, où le personnel s’est montré réactif et arrangeant.

Nous étions 5, il manquait peut être un ou deux sièges.
