Craigdarroch Hotel

The location was amazing. There is a great view of Loch Ness from the hotel. If you have a front facing room then you will be able to see it from your room. If you don't (like us - we has a forest view room) then you can sit in the bar and enjoy the view or you can sit out front at the picnic benches. It is a short walk to the Falls of Foyers which were amazing and also a reasonable walk down to Loch Ness. The set menu dinner that we had was delicious. The room was big, which made it comfortable for the two of us to stay with our two dogs.

The only downside to the room was the fact that it was dark. There was very limited natural light in the room (at the back of the hotel, with a forest view). The issue we had is that the lights in the room were a very bright/harsh white colour (almost medical). It would have been better if the lights were a warmer yellow-ish white to try to imitate natural light.

Very clean, comfortable rooms, with lovely staff and a great breakfast.

More sign posts on the main road to the accommodation, otherwise nothing to complain about.

The staff, breakfast, dinner, the view and the bed/pillows were all excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Met some lovely people 😀

The roads to get there were a little scary but this seems to be a common thing.
