Great breakfast with staff who were highly efficient and so friendly. The dining room looks out on the estuary, beautiful

It was booked for a special occasion 3 actually my dad's 80th and my sons birthday and the actual day of the visit was mine. For this reason I asked if there was anything they could do to make my dad and son feel special. They acknowledged this but nothing was and there were plenty of staff and it wouldn't have taken much. There was blood on our sheets too which we mentioned but again no follow up We are there on the evening but it was only adequate. Id also emailed separately to book the meal for the Saturday evening and mentioned my mum's mobility issues. They confirmed the booking and mentioned nothing of my request about accessibility so I assumed everything would be ok but although she managed it was a struggle as the rooms are all up lots of stairs. It's a lovely place but you can tell the communication either isn't their mgt to staff or that there just isn't a focus on delivering really good customer service. That's important to us so even though staff were friendly enough and the room was pleasant enough I would not rebook.

Fowey has become twee, so finding good value, comfortable accommodation in the middle of the town, with direct waterfront access was a find. This is a well run town pub with clean, comfortable accommodation and good food at sensible prices. The breakfast was excellent.

In the heart of Fowey, large room with a comfortable very large bed. A fairly modern en-suite. Great views from the 2 windows. Excellent breakfast. Space for storage.

Although shown in some picture, the rollout bed on the floor is not suitable when the triple is shared by 3 adults. The shower - inside the bathtub- has very little pressure making it difficult to shower. Our room was at the top floor and steep flights of stairs may be difficult to climb. The price of our room didn’t seem to reflect that this was a double with an added bed on the floor. All of that said, the Galleon was perfect for our trip to the Christmas market. We loved staying there. Staff was great. The room was beautiful. We definitely return.
