Rooms well appointed and equipped, comfortable bed, nice dark rooms, toiletries, well stocked tea and coffee, great shower. Good pub and pub dining

A few minor breakfast niggles, no fruit with yoghurt, and small portions on cooked options. Top quality ingredients however

Great food, lovely environment, great staff

Room could have been a bit bigger, no desk to work at, but worked downstairs, plenty of room and staff were very good

The staff were very hospitable, the food was excellent and the rooms were clean and tidy with everything you could need and then some extra bits on top

There was only really one thing and that was that for my personal preference, the bed was too firm. But as I say, that’s down to me and not the accommodation. Would’ve liked a bit bigger room too, again, no reflection, just personal preference

The pun was busy with a warm and friendly feel when we arrived. Car park was full but easily street parked. Staff welcoming and took time to take us to our room. Room itself was a good size and clean. Lovely shower room. Temperature of room easily controlled. Comfy bed. Excellent meals in the evening and breakfast was freshly cooked.

Dinner was excellent and main bed was super comfy ... pub had a great 'local' feel to it... would certainly stay again

Cautionary note for anyone wanting an early night - pub is popular and certainly in our room you could hear a lot of noise from the bar (it was friday night !), so possible not ideal if you are a light sleeper - wasn't a problem though for us

Friendly staff, excellent food and choice. Good selection for breakfast and amazingly quickly served. We had a couple of evening meals and once again well cooked to our liking(I like my food piping hot) and well presented. Bar also had a good selection of wines, beers and spirits. Also adequate parking.

Although the bedroom was very clean and a lovely comfy bed it was rather small and the wardrobe only had a short space for hanging longer clothes. The toilet was a bit on the small size too. However we would stay here again

Food excellent, good chefs. Steak night superb!

It is definitely a locals place. If you want an early drink, don’t use this place unless you sit as far away from the bar as possible, even then the noise was over the top! Room ok, bit small, and if you opened the bathroom door it hit the end of the bed!
