The whole place has been refurbed to a very high standard, great oakwork, and bespoke metal work. Masonry work to the outdoor area has been creativly compiled, its a joy. Inside...great room, great food at the bar, and before we knew it we were emersed in with the friendly locals in no tme and had a rip roaring night full of fun and laughter

Welcoming and friendly staff. The room was very comfortable and the whole place had a great ambiance. Great food. Fantastic breakfast, the kippers were exceptional!

Third time we have stayed at The Fleece,its one of those pubs that makes you want to come back!!! Staff are friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Food is excellent, always something on the menu that we fancy. Rooms are first class on everything.

silly things like could do with a soap dish in the bathroom, just that little extra detail.This is not a criticism by the way. Its dog friendly, although we have never been keen on them in the areas where we are eating, but thats the way of the world now!!!

Every. Single. Thing. The gentleman who checked us in is such an asset to this beautiful property. He’s welcomed by, pleasant, there’s nothing that’s too much for him. The tv was huge, easy to navigate and put in Netflix, Amazon prime, Paramount Tv, etc. THIS hotel GETS a bathroom!!!! Not only did it rank the best of 9 properties, but it’s better than my own and that’s saying something. It’s powerful, it’s HOT, there’s both a tub AND a shower. The sink has one faucet combining hot and cold not two spigots where you have to choose. It retains its history yet is modern where it needs to be. It has a closet, a desk, a couch, an antique table, thorough lighting, views, is quiet and oh those linens!!!! Food was great. Perfection.
