"Great place to break a journey North9"

Beautiful room, friendly staff, interesting menu, good value food both in the evening and at breakfast, plenty of off road parking. Close to the motorway but not so close that it was noisy.

Good sized rooms with en suite bathroom, bed and linen were very comfortable, excellent service and food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

"Old Inn, lovingly restored."

It is a genuinely old inn, beautifully appointed and decorated. the country pub offers great food and service, we thoroughly enjoyed meeting some locals. It did not feel touristy and at the back there is a really nice garden with old slate covered area for fires and barbecues. We will go back when we are next in the area.
