I booked this as the venue had a gluten free menu which I needed. Following a 7 hour drive I arrived to find it the venue closed and in darkness. I phoned the venue and left messages but had no response, and there had been no emails or notifications via booking.com. Whilst waiting for a response, I found a shop 3 miles away but the only food I could eat was a bag of peanuts....not ideal Following my wait I wandered round the back of the property and found a portacabin type building that was open. As I was shattered from the journey I slept in it. The following morning there was a guy in the pub who asked me what I was doing there....he had no idea I had booked. No apology! No offer of a refund Waste of money

The room was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated with a lovely large en-suite bathroom, and a fridge! The staff were friendly and helpful.

It was very clean warm and cosy. The bed was comfortable and I slept well.

The bedrooms are lovely - beautifully decorated and comfortable. The bathrooms are good too, and everything is so clean

Quirky and individual with a friendly welcome. Easy parking and WiFi everywhere

It wouldn’t suit everyone but it was fine for me. I wasn’t expecting The Shack but it was quiet, clean and comfortable. There was no evening food but the chippie down the road was good
