Hotel de Ville

Good location for my coastal walk, with Co-op shop nearby; friendly and helpful staff, flexible check-in as pub element open quite late; clean and comfortable; no noise in downstairs room from pub or street even though next to both; very good value for money.

No WiFi in my room? (Not completely sure about this, as I did not ask but no access instructions and no unlocked or obviously named network either. Might be that network did not extend to my room, which was downstairs and on the very edge of the building. Worth checking if this is important to you.). Thin walls: not a big problem for me but worth keeping in mind if you're a light sleeper or need to sleep early in evening or late in morning.

Very cost and clean room, fantastic shower and the pub itself is brilliant, cheap beer and sports, not far from takeaways, perfect contractor accommodation

Staff were friendly, room was clean and it was in a good location

The walls were so thin, I woke up a lot during the night to the sound of what sounded like drilling? I have no idea what it was but I didn’t get a very good sleep

No fridge, dim light was missing. Microwave would be good to have.

Very warm welcome. We arrived early expecting just to leave our bags, but as room was ready allowed us to check in. Room very good value, and part of great pub. We were advised that there was a singer on, the Saturday night in the pub, but it did not affect us at all, and we even went and had a listen
