The Western

Good breakfast. Comfortable dining room but got a little hot (weather outside was hot so not surprising). My room was totally adequate but maybe a little on the small side. Good I had a double bed but overall room a little small but nothing to complain about other than , you asked.

This is offered as constructive feedback. I was concerned about the little tiny step in the dining room where guests have to go down to get their cereal etc. I was worried at first that I might have a nasty trip on it so I had to be really careful. then I worried someone else might trip on it. Low behold on the last day of my stay (Tues 23rd) an elderly gentleman had a nasty trip going down it. He had a hot drink in his hand and he dropped the mug as he fell smashing the mug and spilling its contents. It could have been nasty as he could easily have scolded himself or broke his ankle. He was very shaken. The staff on duty were very supportive of him and kind and acted very responsibly I felt. But, how on earth that little step passed health and safety standards baffles me. I felt it was a total hazard in an area where there is hot food and drink. I was very sad for the elderly guy who (I think was travelling alone? I say that because he breakfasted alone each day) as he was badly shaken. i would be interested to know if there is something you have done since the accident. I'm assuming you have an accident report log book? I sat there eating my breakfast thinking it would only take a couple of sheets of plywood to build it up so it is level with the actual step. I can't believe it would need to be an expensive fix.

Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Local to all amenities including Bus and Train stations.

Everything was fine.

Desayunos y a parte tiene un acceso de su bar propio con concierto.

Todo estaba bien, por mi estuve un poco incómodo en el baño, por estabilidad del suelo.

Hotel location is great Proper pub attached Breakfast service was really good All the staff were brilliant

Fan helped but as per usual in older hotels in UK room was too warm

Litt støy med åpne vinduer men det var forventet midt i byen

Śniadania brytyjskie, wystarczające, smaczne, duży wybór płatków śniadaniowych, owoce, podawane w godz. 8-10, trzeba wcześniej ustalić godzinę ale nie ma problemu z dobraniem dogodnej godziny. Personel przyjazny, w dniu wyjazdu specjalnie dla nas pare osób przyszło wcześniej do pracy abyśmy mogli mieć śniadanie o godz. 7.00. Urokliwy niewielki bar/pub hotelowy z muzyką na żywo. Doskonała lokalizacja: blisko do promenady, plaż, stacji kolejowej.

Kosmetyki kąpielowe nie były uzupełniane codziennie, umocowane duże dozowniki rozwiązały by problem. Mile widziane były by świeże warzywa do śniadania (ale to chyba już taki urok Wysp).

The location and the staff were fantastic

The room I stayed in (No. 10) was basic but clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay overall. I only have a few minor suggestions that could make the room even better: it may be worth checking the shower doors, as a little water leaked onto the bathroom floor during use (nothing major); providing a hairdryer and a face towel would also be a nice addition. The only maintenance issue I noticed was that the window, which could benefit from a little extra attention during cleaning, as I noticed some dark marks around the panes. Other than that, everything was perfectly satisfactory.

Hotel central, proche de la gare et en face de l'église. Vieux bâtiment plein de charme mais les marches sont hautes... très grande chambre double avec petite salle d'eau. Accueil sympathique et efficace même si l'accent ne facilite pas les échanges... on y dîne très bien, il faut privilégier les tables du bar. Parking privé mais nous n'en avons pas profité car notre voiture était en panne dans un garage !

Le ménage n'a pas été fait après la première nuit. Le service du petit-déjeuner est inégal mais à la fin tout se passe bien.
