"Would not recommend- nasty carpets, mildew smell, hostel room type situation-not King townhome with shared outdoor space"

1.0

The bed was comfortable

Mis-advertised as “townhome” with shared outdoor area. It’s actually a small bedroom (not a King like we reserved) with en-suite that’s so small we could only open 1 suitcase at a time. The worst part of this property specifically is the gross crunchy carpet and mold/mildew smell in the room. The room that you have to go on a scavenger hunt to find to check in (another location) and then the property parking is a full on block away, also hard to find while driving in Galway. We did have a window to open to help with the smell until another guest decided to sit in small shared space and smoke which is where our window faced out so we had to close the window. The cleaning ppl have to access the storage also right outside of our open window , with lots of noise and banging around. Had we not driven up from Kenmare to Galway (2 hours 45 minutes) and were so exhausted we would have left right then. We went across the street to see if there was room at the 2 hotels and there were no vacancies for the Saturday night we were there. We rearranged with our next property in Kilkenny to come in on the next day - a day earlier and not do the second night at this property in Galway. It was completely gross between the condition of the floors and the awful smell of the room-that is my major complaint. But the true size and setup of this property is also misrepresented in the advertising. I am hopeful they will refund the night we did not use and am waiting to see if that happens.
