Lovely traditional hotel in what is considered the most beautiful of the traditional villages of Chalkidiki. We were greeted by the friendly son who spoke good English, gave us a map showing village highlights and advised on restaurants etc. His lovely mother made us an omelette to go with the usual breakfast things in the morning. Good value, especially as I think we were upgraded to a double room with a sitting room.

Small bathroom but fine for a short stay.

The accommodation is located in a quite street just off the central town square. The host was most helpful, spoke English and was generous with his time, and local information. His mother prepared breakfast, which was entirely adequate (and in the Greek tradition).

The stairs to our first-floor accommodation had only a partial handrail (bannister), with the upper section, which turned a corner, having no handrail. We, as elderly travelers, consider this a serious safety issue (even without luggage), and a most unwelcome new experience that we didn't anticipate. And while House Mitsiou's stairs had a partial handrail, practically all other accommodations in our Greece and Bulgaria travels had none at all. Choosing accommodations with lifts, while greatly reducing accommodation choice, is the alternative. I should add that our host's mother, recognising our difficulty, very kindly assisted us downstairs without asking.
