Gladstone Hotel

The place is very close by to markets and the service is really good.

The room was a bit smelly not sure if it’s the build or the carpet.

It was central with a very short walk to the pie shop

There were no staff whatsoever ever. Check in was a phone call and they told you your room number. Room was more like a prison cell and beds were very old. Decor was extremely dated. Generally just a place to sleep and get out as soon as possible.

Ok ,not flash but cheap stopover

Although our room was not perfect the host went out of his way to resolve the issue. The dining room was good, you could make a basic meal. Please note that the premises is an old pub and doesn't have the modern facilities of a newer establishment. It suited us but not everybody.

The difference between male and female toilets from certain approaches was not obvious for first time users.
