Farr Bay Inn

Location was amazing a short walk through the garden wall and on the beach and surrounding hills.

The property was perfectly adequate but nothing like we expected from the listing. The Farr Bay Inn does not exist anymore and is currently in a state of disrepair. The cottages are next to it adjacent to a rather run down car park area. There are also two container units in situ ready to be utilised in the coming months. Had the attached cottage and units been occupied this would not have been the quiet seclusion we were looking for. Whilst the cottage had everything we needed it was a bit like a holiday chalet rather than a cottage and the quality of the decoration and workmanship was poor with, for example, filled holes not sanded but just painted over and chipped paintwork around the property. Would have understood that at the end of the season but not in April and price was not reflective.

Location and the fact that it had two bedrooms which was why we picked it

We chose this property which, although self catering, was located as part of a pub complex. When we got there the pub was closed until April. There was no warning of this fact when we booked, indeed the booking. Con website was all about promoting the pub
