Tara Guest House

This clean blue and very well looked after is probably the best guest house we stayed in. Run by a beautiful young family, Naveem and Babi do everything with such a grace harmony and purpose that you would definitely want to extend your stay. Very clean and bright with big rooms and a very good size bathroom with hot water functioning wonders. You can take your delicious breakfast at the cozy dining room, they supply water and toilet paper and they cook amazing lunch and dinner. It’s located over a kilometer away from the main road, so we had peaceful nights and the place itself is peaceful and harmonious, but you can still walk to the main temples. Lovely stay and amazing value. 200% recommended.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is ideal for anyone visiting Bodhgaya on a spiritual journey, walking distance to the Big Buddha and all the various Buddhist Temple from around the world and the Mahabodhi Temple. Plenty of shopping along the way to Mahabodhi Temple and at the Tibetan Market. Options to venture further by taxi (approx. 70km away) to the Vulture Peak and Nalanda Excavated site.

Being approached by people while out walking, offering to be guides at extronomical prices.

I totally recommend this guesthouse as it has great value for money, is super clean (a rarity in India) and has all the necessary amenities. Furthermore, it is a project that serves to finance a school for more than 700 disadvantaged children. ❤

I just found the meals, especially breakfast, too expensive for a guesthouse and there was no hot shower either.

The stuff it's amazing. It's a family house and they make you feel really welcome. And they make amazing home made indian food!

The room was good except the toilet. It's badly placed and the commode is too small. Accessibility of the hotel/guesthouse is a bit on negative side. Expensive for the standard of service they provide.
