The Woolpack Inn Warehorne

A seriously quirky very old (16th century?) inn in an attractive rural location. Wonderfully over the top comfortable and well-equipped bedroom festooned with pictures and gilt-framed mirrors, a roll top bath and complimentary sweet sherry-like drink. Nice dinner and wonderful breakfast. Well placed for access to the Channel Tunnel.

Breakfast isn’t served until 9.30, which could be a problem if you wanted an early start to get to the Tunnel, but they do offer a hamper to take with you instead.

Fabulous rural location within walking distance to Gusbourne. Quirky and atmospheric.

Very expensive to stay on Sundays considering the place closes at 8pm, you are left to your own devises and all the staff go home. No tv in the room either. No cooked breakfast on Mondays either.

Das Frühstück und das Essen im Pub waren hervorragend. Sehr freundliches Personal. Super interessante Ausstattung und liebevoll ausgewählte Einrichtung.

Das sehr winzige Dachzimmer (konnten nicht aufrecht stehen) war liebevoll eingerichtet, aber leider sehr unpraktisch. Die Badewanne im Zimmer und das clo quasi nur durch eine dünne Wand abgetrennt, war unangenehm.

The property was situated in beautiful surroundings It’s a very old building. Lots of character. The breakfast was very nice.

Unfortunately our room was not clean, lots of cobwebs, and dust and the bed was covered in flies when we arrived, couldn’t be helped a window was cracked open and the property is surrounded by by fields. I had booked in for 2 nights, but only ended up staying for 1 And I got 50 percent back for that 1 night. I would like to believe that after I had raised this, that the room would have been given a good clean. As it’s a beautiful place and the room was very unique.
