Our breakfast looking out over the garden with my colleagues , I will remember until I die, it was just beautiful.

Two things slightly irritated me — minor issues perhaps, but worth mentioning. Firstly, the toilet seat in my room was loose and the rear cover was missing. It felt like something that could have been resolved with a small amount of routine maintenance. Secondly, there was a candle placed on the table which had been lit. After a short time, it fell over towards my colleague. It was only through a quick reaction that I managed to catch it before it fell onto Fiona, which could have caused a burn or, worse, her clothing catching alight. I appreciate these may seem like small matters, but they are both avoidable and relate to basic maintenance and safety. A little more care would be greatly appreciated.

The room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was excellent, served to our table and all fresh and delicious. We also had dinner, one of the best meals in a pub that we have had, and a great atmosphere in a very well designed dining room with interesting art.

Lovely well balance breakfast

Room decor was lovely. However the finish around sinks and floor is eroding by water splash. The resulting poor choice of materials/design.

Great welcome and fresh milk for a much needed cup of tea after visiting the Mary Rose and associated museums. Good parking, though we did get there early. Clean room, well presented though a bit tight for a big fella. Great shower. Food was lovely. Wine was a little expensive but we were celebrating so good quality for a good price was the order of the day. No worries Restaurant is clean and modern, overlooking a quiet beer garden. Lovely setting. Hand drawn beer at a fair price, too! Four varieties each well kept...yes we tried them all.. Great breakfast served by friendly staff. We chose a country pub hoping for a quiet stay with a really good meal for a special treat. The Horse and Groom delivered in spades! Thanks, guys.

A little more than we would normally pay, BUT well worth it. The bed was a little large for a small room, it didn't leave much room for a big fella to move around...also the bedroom chair was a little small for my big rear!/ Ifcyou visit PLEASE book for dinner. The restaurantis popular with goid reason. . -
