Plitvica River House

Wonderful welcome by Tony-- the emcee and Chef and tour guide! Fantastic views of the waterfalls just a short walk from the property. A perfect place to explore the Plitvice Lakes National Park from. We celebrated our anniversary here and were not disappointed.

The beds werent that comfortable, and unfortunately we weren't able to have an outdoor fire to celebrate our anniversary, but in all was a good experience

Ante and Luciana do everything they can think of to make your stay perfect, including sending information about your next destinations when you leave. The food is impeccable, the rooms large and sparkling clean, and the detailed instructions for moving through the park were invaluable.

Slept wonderful, food and amenities great, especially the meals! I would recommend at least one dinner. Beautiful property close to an entrance to the park. Lucy provided wonderful directions for a 6 hour walk through the park. Overall, ten plus!

The Plitvica River House is on a beautiful property, the rooms were exceptionally clean and we would absolutely stay here in the future.

It is a family run business with wonderful owners and staff. The location is walkable to PlitVice National Park. The food was delicious.

We loved everything about our stay.

We experienced the highest level of hospitality at this property. Our connecting flight was delayed and we were running behind on our schedule. We always travel as a family and were worried that we will not be able to have a proper cooked meal after airplane and feed our kids (12 yrs and 4 yrs). To our surprise, the owner Ante waited for us with a pre- fixed menu featuring the freshest local ingredients. The appetizer selection consisting of home made cured meats and locally produced olive oil was outstanding, my wife's chicken dish served with creamy sauce made of locally picked morel mushrooms and truffles was mouthwatering bringing back childhood memories. A regionally acclaimed red wine was served to accompany our meal, followed by a light dessert and home made after drinks. We could not be more grateful for making our Father's day dinner special. In the morning we were served a buffet style breakfast of equal quality, and provided with detailed information r/t Plitvice Lakes. We would highly recommend this location due to its cleanliness, quality of food and service, location and attention to detail.

Ante and Lucy provided some of the best support prior and during our stay that we have ever recieved. They were incredibly responsive to questions concerning their location and the best options for visiting Plitvice National Park. We traveled by bus from Split and they had clear instructions for how to get a taxi from the Park entrance1 bus stop to the Plitvica River House. With a park tickets purchased online prior to arrival we were able to take advantage of using Park Entrance 3 which is a simple 10 minute walk from the River House. This allowed us to avoid the crowds from the large tourist buses and have a much more enjoyable experience. Ante prepared wonderful meals for us and even had the option to purchase lunches to enjoy while hiking the park. The Plitvica River house team did everything possible to ensure we had a relaxing stress-free stay.

L’ambiance est très chaleureuse. On se sent presque comme à la maison. Nos hôtes ont été d’une gentillesse rare. Leurs conseils pour la visite du parc et même pour la suite de notre séjour ont été top! L’arrivée par l’entrée 3 méconnue permet un accès à contre courant des autres visiteurs assurant un visite dans la foule. Les repas sur place sont excellents.
