Hotel Degli Olmi

I stayed in this hotel as part of a group on a weeklong group walking holiday in the Abruzzo area. The hotel was fantastic, my room was spotless every day, very quiet at night, the food was nice and the staff could not do enough to make us happy and help us with anything we needed. On days that the weather was good enough, the pool was open which was a bonus. The hotel is situated in the centre of Villetta Barrea, but very close to the lake, so perfect for a walk along the lake to Barrea. The entire holiday was fantastic and the hotel certainly made a considerable contribution to that.

I stayed one week travelling solo with a group. Everything was excellent; above all the staff, who did everything to make our stay perfect. The food was delicious, I had breakfast and dinner and packed lunches. I’m vegan and every night I was offered a choice of dishes, each one was specially prepared and full of flavour and nutrients. Guiseppe (I hope I spell this correctly) was so helpful, attentive and cheerful at every meal. As a group we hiked every day and dinner was a treat to look forward to in the evening. Thank you for a wonderful stay in this very special place.

A lovely family run hotel, very friendly staff who went out of their way to help. Delicious food even though served to a big hiking group, 25 of us. Very quiet location in the village of Villetta Barrea. The bedroom was fine, smallish bathroom but everything adequate, The pool was open and heated by solar power I believe.

Olmi is a comfortable, modern hotel within the village of Villetta Barrea. A perfect choice for us. They have a lot of amenities for any season, including a pool, a spa, attractive grounds and an in-house restaurant with higher-end cuisine. The have their own parking lot, which is a plus to anyone driving in. Staff is very friendly and extremely responsive. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. Easily walkable to everything in the village, and to the neighboring areas and Lago Barrea. A perfect base if you’re exploring the Parco Nazionale D’Abruzzo, or wandering up the Gole Saggittario. I’d recommend the property without hesitation, and will certainly stay there again when we return to this magical area.

Very enjoyable stay, the staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. This is a delightful hotel in a beautiful location. The cool pool at the end of a day walking in the mountains was most welcome. It is spotlessly clean with delicious food.

What a great trip at the Hotel Olmi. We were with a walking group, and the Hotel experience was fantastic. Federica on reception must be the happiest person I have ever met. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and all the staff were very friendly. Good English language skills. Rooms clean and tidy with daily maid service. Location is excellent for the Abruzzo National Park and for sight-seeing in the many spotless and interesting local villages in this area. All facilities clean and well-kept. I would highly recommend a stay here.
