Pousada Rangai

Location was supreme; breakfast and included meals were excellent. The coffee-time mid afternoon adds a nice touch to the care of the guests.

The dishes you order separately is way overpriced, and there are no reasons for such surcharge on items like a cheese and ham sandwich to cost BR$42,00 while a sandwich elsewhere would cost less than BR$15,00. Desserts way overpriced prices. Every food item to be charged is way overpriced. That’s absurd The fact that the Pousada suggests an extra 10% of service gratuities to the employees also makes you feel guilty if you don’t accept their “optional” contribution. The rates are already high enough that management should operate to share 10% of the stay with all staff and not add that to the guest at the end of the stay and leaving them facing the staff members at checkout to avoid guilt if they contribute with such “suggestion”.

It was a quiet week just after a busy period, so we had the place almost to ourselves. The staff was super attending. They even went out of their way to drive me and my partner to a hospital post when he got sick. The location on the beach is so beautiful, but the place itself is also nice to stay at the pool or the seats around it. Breakfast was very extensive, almost too much. Served by the table (maybe because it was not busy...), but we had to turn down some of the food, just because we are not used to such extensive breakfasts. Diner was also good, the restaurant is located with a view over the facility.

The room was really big, but lacked a bit of decoration. You need a car to visit the nearby places and sights, or if you want to explore other beaches. Most importantly but not always easy planning the travel, the tides of the see define whether you will get to see Mozes' pathway and/or the natural pools. We were there a few days when the tides were not optimal for this unfortunately.

Pousada Rangai is one of the best travel experiences I have had anywhere in the world. The space is beautiful with clean, relaxing rooms and gorgeous grounds that are right up against the beach. The ocean is warm, clean and you can walk far out into the water. The pousada has great tables, chairs, towels and umbrellas for you to use. The staff were by far the best part though. They all were kind and friendly, taking the time to learn our names and our food preferences. The dining was lovely each and every day with a big, beautiful breakfast — the usual Brazilian fare plus some fun extras you could order like poached eggs or oatmeal. And it was brought to your table with juice and coffee rather than the more common buffet style. On a day we had to leave the hotel early for a boat ride before breakfast started, the staff were kind enough to pack up some items for us to have in our room. Lunch we ate every day on property as well. And for dinner the main dishes (included) were delicious and the appetizers, drinks and desserts we ordered also tasty and fairly priced. A couple extra fun things that added to the experience were cafezinho time, when guests would lounge by the pool just before sunset as the staff offered coffee and cake served to you (they also had tea available), and the live musicians they had playing on the beach and then in the dining room - our favorite was the saxophonist.

The breakfast was amazing and very well served. We were in two and there was more than enough food for the both of us. We were always very excited for breakfast because it was so delicious and unique.

We liked everything. We stayed at the Nusa Dua Bungalow and wow! Amazing experience, amazing accommodations, amazing service. We have absolutely nothing to complain.
